Al has been a good friend for many years. He is a decorated WW2 veteran among many other accomplishments in his life. Al loves his family, and he loves to worship God through song. A group met in the home of his hospice care Thursday and sang with him and his family for a couple of hours. It was a wonderful experience! (The chocolate chip cookies were not bad either). Al has requested that he have no more dialysis treatments. He is getting week as his body becomes toxic, and we don't expect him to live many more days. His family requests our prayers.

Wow! That's awesome Tim. I knew when you were taking pictures Thursday night, that were likely going to paint a portrait, but I didn't expect to see it this soon.

Al is doing better following his discontinuing of all his medications. It seems that his kidney function was supressed by the medication. Keep him in your prayers.

Al passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2006. He was a decorated veteran of WW2 and Korea, so it's fitting that he died on Pearl Harbor day. We had a wonderful memoral service for his family today at Sycamore View. It was an honor for me to lead the congregational singing. Al and I had a special connection with music and art. Several of his paintings were on display there also. May God Bless...
