John Hite's daughter, Lori, passed away peacefully in her sleep last week.  I was honored to lead the music for her memorial service.  John and Suzie are very special friends, and one of my reactions to their loss, and our desire for healing is to do a painting of John with his usual very thoughtful and serene expression.

Mike Sasseen has been a very special friend and mentor to our son Joe, for 15+ years.  His journey includes recovery from many addictions, as well as PTSD from Viet Nam experiences.  He relates to all kinds of people who suffer from brokenness, and easily shares his love for and dependence on Jesus Christ.  Right now he is leading a recovery network and promoting his new book.
